Why I love December.
I am a December FREAK! Yes, I love the holiday. I love the month. I love the snow!!!
Here is a theme to take and use, tell us - why do you love December?
Why I love December:
1. This is the month in which I was born. This year I turn 30. Ouch!
2. Snow. I love snow. I don't like shoveling snow, but that's what my husband is for *wink*.
3. Snowmen. I collect them. They are the cutest thing ever! I have collected them ever since I was in high school. When I was young we lived in Indiana and it would snow a lot. At supper grace I would always thank god for all the snow. I would always make a snowman and when he melted I would cry. We moved to the desert climate when I was in high school and for my 18th birthday my father bought me a precious moments figurine of a child crying in front of a melting snowman and he then stood in line for several hours to have it autographed on the bottom. I have collected and favored snowmen since then.
4. BING. Yes, it's the time of year when I can listen to Bing Crosby and watch White Christmas over and over. Naturally, that one would be my favorite.
5. People. People are always nicer in December.
6. Santa. I'm too old to believe in a jolly man going from house-to-house, but I believe in the spirit of Santa!
7. Family. The season tends to bring family members closer.
I will also be participating in the Holidailies this month, since I pretty much post every day - why not?
There is only one downside to Christmas. They insist on playing It's a Wonderful Life as frequently as my White Christmas. I love Jimmy Stewart and Harvey is one of my favorites... but I strongly dislike (let me emphasize strongly) that movie. I refuse to watch it.
