Gearing up for the Harry Potter movie rush! (another non-title post brought to you by our friends at blogger)

I am going to go see HP and the order, regardless of what other critics say... but I thought I'd go ahead and see what preliminary reviews were out and about on the net. If you'd like to see them too, here you go:

A 7/10 Review
Article about Staunton as Umbridge
A must visit for reviews is the Rotten Tomatoes
Leaky Cauldron has a good list as well!

I saw that Helena Bonham Carter is Bellatrx Lestrange. Brilliant, cause that's how I always pictured her, I love Helena Bonham Carter don't get me wrong, she just fits the roll.

It's like I always pictured Hagrid as oh crap I forgot his name, anyways I used to watch him in Cracker while reading the first HP and thought that he would totally fit the bill. And he did!!

I so want to see that movie.

Critics shmitics.
I read one headline - something about HP not as 'magical' - but the books got very dark around 4 (through 6!) so what do they expect.
I CAN'T WAIT!!

Saw it last night - LOVED IT. Harry really goes through hell and that's what I love. Give me the torment! Daniel Radcliffe and all the young actors just keep getting better - it's so marvellous to see. All the adult British pros just make the film, especially Gary Oldman. More Gary Oldman! My only problems with the film:
The decision to use a non-John Williams score. WTF?!? This music is rank.
The director's decision to pull back sound-wise at a significant emotional moment for Harry. Really takes some of the power away from Daniel Radcliffe, who is doing a great job in that scene.
Otherwise, LOVED IT.
