Blog Worth

So... I've seen some people have a "how much is my blog worth" widget in the side bar... How on earth does this applet figure value? Anyone know?

Here's what it says about mine...

My blog is worth $46,856.82.
How much is your blog worth?

From what I've heard it translates your information into fake blog "shares" and then equates it with a dollar amount. Not sure if it works on uniques or links, one of the two. Those things are not necessarily the greatest indicator but they're kind of fun.

If mine were worth that, I'd sell.

I thought this was so cool, til it said how much my blog was worth. I must have tried it when it was broken...or having a sale or something.

Hehehe, well, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think this is "real". It's got to be based on either ad code or some kind of link... or maybe views... I have no idea but it's an interesting side item :)

I was surprised that it isnt based on people going to the site. I plugged in a blog that is just a few months older than mine and I was surprised that her's wasnt worth way more. I would love to know how the figure this out.

I was very surprised at how much it said mine was worth. I think I wouldnt even make it into the thousands. I am on a roll, baby.
