Blog Tipping: a new way to share the link love
Link love *wink* *wink* you know you want it!
A spot of T is one of those blogs that I tend to visit on a regular basis. I just like reading her posts, seeing her nice layout and chuckling at the different things she talks about. Yesterday, I discovered her post on Blog Tipping. It sounds like fun to me, so I'll definitely be blog tipping on February first.
From her site, here are the details:
Bronze Blogtipping Rule:
On the first day of the month, pick three blogs and offer their bloggers three compliments and one suggestion each via a post on your blog.

Blogtipping is about making someone else's day and educating others about excellent blogging practices in the process.
Golden Blogtipping Rule:
Tip unto others as you would have others tip unto you.

Are any blogs injured in this experiment?
Well, I would hope not. I believe the intention is to be positive and helpful. Meaning, tip the blogs you like or the ones that stick with you and then provide three statements as to why you like them or what is good about them. If you have a tip for them, share it, but be respectful or courteous - at least, that's my take on this.
Ah... unless you are making a joke like, "no animals were harmed during the filming of this movie" In that case... allow me to provide the following disclaimer:

Blogtipping is just a fun way to help other bloggers improve their blogs, make them feel good and show them off to your audience all at the same time. Along with surprising them, of course :). I do it every month and so a handful of other bloggers. No strings attached. No bloggers harmed in the making. ;)
You all have it right. The key is to be nice and be helpful. I don't tend to leave any tips because I'm always so impressed with the blogs I write about, but nice friendly tips are always appreciated. It's a great way to share blogs you love.

I'm not sure I get the whole tip idea -- I'd like to see a concrete tip before I get involved.
Then again, knowing Rash, I'll find out first hand next month!
